Wildcat Ground
I’m shedding beauty like fur
I’m shedding life like no other
sleeping on cobras
waking on fang point
walking on body after body of waking wildcats
the fangs and gums dispersed upon the savage ground
slowly I am being devoured
from the bottom up
because that is the ground upon which we walk
our kind
in the greenery of seething phantoms
in the abyss of hungry panthers
